CHAPTER 5
 IS ALIVE

The day he was waiting for was here. That day he looked upon the once-dried plant and saw a beautiful flower. He felt so happy knowing that the plant flourished and lived. He felt in his heart the love of God.

The same way the mailman took care of the plant, God takes care of us. God loves us, and He wants us to flourish and be full of life like the flower. His plans and his thoughts for us are good. He wants us to prosper in all things. He wants to give us peace, give us hope, and a future. He wants our souls to prosper. (3 John 2) (Jeremiah 29:11) We have to water our lives talking to God every day and knowing Him through the reading of his Word. God loves us all.

The mailman continued caring for the plant. The plant blossomed into its full glory, with magnificent flowers with a bright pink color, thriving in beauty. God filled his heart with joy, a miracle that brightened his day. A perfect picture of God's beauty.

CHAPTER 4
 THE FLOWER

That's when he saw a dry flower. He felt sad because the plant dried up and nobody was taking care of it. He felt pain deep inside his heart.

Diligently, he removed the grass, the weeds, and the dry leaves that surrounded the plant. Then he proceeded to soak his towel with water and pour it all over the entire plant the same way he poured the water over his head and face.

Every day the mailman looked at the plant with hopes that the plant would flourish again. Every day the mailman tenderly took care of the plant.

A Bible verse came to his mind, and he quoted it. "And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't He more surely cares for you?" (Matthew 6:30)

He knew God took care of him when he needed him most. At that moment, he knew that the plant was going to live.

A few days later, the mailman observed that the plant was flourishing. He saw a flower bud and green leaves on the flower stem.

With great emotion and joy, he smiled and exclaimed, "Thank you, God! You did it."

CHAPTER 3
THE WEATHER

That Tuesday was extremely hot. The temperature was over 100 degrees.

He had to walk more than 16 miles every day to deliver the correspondence to the Post Office clients.

Dripping sweat was running down his face and his whole body. He always did his job with a happy heart and always for God first, but this day was really hard for him. "God please, today is very hot and humid; send me help."

One of the houses he delivered mail to was vacant. The house was a two-story Victorian house. It was painted beige with dark brown trim. The landscape was gorgeous and captivating. The grass was well maintained. To the right of the house was a very tall tulip tree. The front of the house was adorned with an abundance of roses of different colors. A sweet aroma permeated the air from the stunning roses.

As he was drying his face, he notice an outdoor faucet to the left side of the house. "I really need to cool down my body," he said. The mailman opened the faucet and soaked his towel with water. Then he poured water over his head and face.

"Ohhh! What a blessing." He felt so happy because his body cooled down completely. He gained new strenght to carry on a do his job. He continued walking and…

CHAPTER 2
A NEW DAY

Every day, before Matthew went to work, he talked to God.

"Good morning, Father. Thank you for giving me a new day. This is the day that You made for me, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalms 118:24)

"Let me be a light in this world for You. Guide me today and let me have a productive day. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen."

Matthew left his home and drove his blue Toyota Tacoma to work. His friends and family loved his truck.

The children in his family enjoyed riding in the truck. He parked his vehicle in the post office's designated parking area and quickly walked the paved walkway.

Matthew entered the post office and greeted his coworkers, always with his jovial smile. Then he prepared his work for that day.

Matthew transported all the mail and packages to his assigned vehicle and started to deliver the mail.

CHAPTER 1
 THE MAILMAN

Once upon a time, there was a mailman…

His name was Matthew Jones. Matthew went to work very early in the morning to deliver letters and packages to people all over his town.

He loved his work. He loved seeing the smiling faces of people around him.

"How are you doing today, Matthew?" asked Tom, one of his customers.

"I'm doing great," he answered with a huge smile. They talked for a while, and Matthew waved Tom goodbye.

The mailman was tall and strong. He was 6'3" tall. He had blond hair and brown eyes. He was kind, confident, and honest. He had a positive attitude, and he was cheerful all the time.

Most importantly, he was a man of God. He was loved by everybody that knew him.
