• In this chapter, Daniel was facing a death sentence because no one could interpret the King's dream. Why is it significant that Daniel’s first reaction to receiving the answer was praise and thanks rather than immediate relief or rushing to the King?
• Daniel credits God with giving him both "wisdom and power." In our modern world, we often see these two as separate. How does spiritual wisdom provide a different kind of power than political or social influence?
• The verse says, "You have made known to me what we asked of you." Even though the revelation came to Daniel, he acknowledges the group effort of his friends (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego). What does this teach us about the importance of community when facing big challenges?
• Daniel addresses God as the "God of my ancestors." How does understanding your history or your "spiritual roots" change the way you approach God in prayer today?
